Performance Diary 2011

January

27th - Performing as part of a duet recital with colleague Ian Watt in Merchant Halls, Glasgow. Programme includes works by Sor, Berkeley and major 19th Century Guitar Composers.

28th - Performing in Holland - Gitaarsalon. Programme includes duets with Ian Watt and solo works by Arnold and Britten.

30th - Performing at 1130. Venue is Stichting Gelders Gitaristen Podium at the Oude Ettense Kerk, located Oude Kerkstraat 2a, 7075AB, Etten, Gelderland, The Netherlands. Programme same as below.

February

12th - Performing at 1500 at the Tolbooth, Jail Wynd, Stirling as part of the Tea and Cake Recital concert series. Programme tbc.

March

27th - Performing as part of a charity concert for the Japanese Earthquake in Glasgow University Chapel. Performers to include members of Scottish Opera, the RSAMD, Glasgow University and Glasgow Chamber Choir. Recommended donation £10, starts 3pm.

May

7th - Performing @ St. Martin’s Church, Erith Road, Barnehurst, Kent,  DA7 6LE. Full recital, begins 5pm, programme tbc.

9th - At 1530 my third year performance exam commences. Paul Gregory external adjucator. Venue is Guinness room and programme TBC, probably sorted when the dept as a whole has missed the programme submission deadline as usual.

11th - Giving a recital at the Royal Overseas League Clubhouse in Edinburgh (100 Princes Street). Programme to include works by Ginastera, Regondi, Aguado. Starts  at 6.30pm.  Contact ROSL on 0131 225 1501.

17th - Performing as the finalist of the String Section in the Royal Overseas League Music Competition final in Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. Starts 7pm, booking opens April.

25th - Performing in Aberdeen for the North East Scotland Classical Guitar Society AGM. 2030 start at the lounge room of Queen’s Cross Church, free entry.

June

14th - Performing with the Scottish Flute Trio in the newly reopened Cottier Theatre, Glasgow, as part of the Cottier Chamber Project. Starts at 6pm.

July

19th - Will be performing with the Scottish Flute Trio in Paxton house, part of the Music at Paxton chamber music festival. Details tbc.

August

4th - Solo recital, 1pm, Foundling Museum, 40 Brunswick Square, City of London. Part of New London Orchestra’s Young Performers Concert Series.

16th - Solo recital in ROSL clubhouse Edinburgh. 10.30pm. Edinburgh Festival Fringe event. SOLD OUT.

17th - Performing as part of a Mozart themed concert, ROSL clubhouse Edinburgh. Edinburgh Festival Fringe event. SOLD OUT.

19th - Performing as part of a Bach themed concert, ROSL clubhouse Edinburgh. Edinburgh Festival Fringe event. SOLD OUT.

September

24th - Performing at Duddingston Kirk as part of the Edinburgh International Guitar Festival. 1930 start, tickets £8/£5.

October

9th - Performing at the Ullapool Guitar Festival with Allan Neave and Stewart Kelly.

22nd - Performing with the Scottish Flute Trio as part of the Sound Festival, North East Scotland (Review here).

24th-30th - Outreach with Scottish Opera – “A Little bit of Barber” (Video here).

November

6th - Taking part in the 10th anniversary and final concert of the Colin O’Riordan Trust, 3pm at the City of Edinburgh Music School, Broughton High School. Programme TBC.

10th – 1pm at Glasgow University with the Scottish Flute Trio

12th - Performing with Robert Irvine for Dollar Music Society, 1930 (Photos here).

14th – Playing with members of the RSNO and O Duo in the Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy. Children’s Classics concert series.

25th - Taking part in the Dewar Awards concert, Perth Concert Hall.
