Just a wee link to a blog concerning classical guitar in Scotland, it's pretty decent and basically sums up a lot (if not all) of what's going on in Scotland in the guitar world. http://bobbysclassicalguitarspace.blogspot.com/

3rd year Performance exam date
I'm playing in the Guinness room on Monday 9th May, 1510, for the performance exam of this year. The external examiner is Paul Gregory. Not sure what I'll play yet but it'll come to me.
A few old photos I found
These are a selection of publicity pictures that I found on my email, might as well stick them up here. Most (or all) of these are by Kenneth Dundas. Also one I found from one of the concerts given in Holland this January.
I hear we made around £1700
In the Charity concert of last Sunday. Was a nice affair, good baking.
Charity Concert 27/03
There's a charity concert for the Japanese earthquake appeal that I'm taking part in on the 27th (Sunday coming) in Glasgow University Chapel. Recommended donation £10, performers from RSAMD, Scottish Opera, Glasgow Chamber Choir and others. Promises to be good so come along if you can. Press release was made yesterday, quotes are hard to [...]
Evening news article
I featured in a wee side-article in the Evening News here. They interviewed me the other day, although I probably didn't say anything interesting enough to be mentioned. Although come to think of it, since I was interviewed on the details of a competition that were going to be published for public consumption, there wasn't [...]
New Video
There's a new video put up by those nice folk at the GitaarSalon in Enkhuizen, of me playing the Malcolm Arnold Fantasy. I'm embedding it below and on the videos page. It should feature on the Brava HDTV European network later this year along with another video of Ian Watt playing the Giuliani Sonata op. [...]
A few more concerts
I've added to the Forthcoming Concerts page the details of, well... some forthcoming concerts. It seems that these first few months of 2011 will be busy. Oh and I also added in a wee quote given by those nice EGTA guys to the quotes page re: a wee half recital I gave in England for [...]
What I’ve been up to
As usual it's been a while too long for me to have left the blog without a post. Aaaaaanyway I've just uploaded a new video to youtube which you can see here: It's just a wee video that's part of a competition application I'll be sending away this week. I've been doing a little bit [...]
Long Overdue
OK so I've finally uploaded some more videos to my youtube channel, but under a different channel - the other one will be unused from now on. You can view it here. I stuck on some videos of the China visit of last year, too. Hope you enjoy 🙂
Photo
I got facebooked an after concert photo taken by the organisers of our gig in Eindhoven, so here it is.
Chinese links
I've also been told that the link I posted to a chinese page doesn't connect to a page any more. I'm sorry about this, and I'll put up another one asap.
Concerts in Eindhoven last December
Ian Watt and I also gave a recital in Eindhoven, in the Phillips Hall, in mid December on the weekend after our return to China. The programme was basically the same one given in China, and again it seemed to be a success, so we were pleased with how it went. We will return in [...]
Upcoming stuff
So yeah, on Thursday I will be performing the Rodrigo Concierto D'aranjuez in Hull with the Isle of Axholme Symphony Orchestra, and that should be good. After that on Monday I fly to Liechtenstein to participate in a guitar competition so I must work for that as well.
New Youtube video
Yeah so umm I have recorded on video the Sequenza for Solo guitar by Marek Pascienczny (who is my old teacher from when I went to Broughton), so that'll go onto youtube soon I think. I'll probably embed it on the videos page here as well.
Eindhoven recital
Yeah, so Ian and I, back in I think November played to the Duo Lisme as part of a masterclass in the RSAMD. So they were really nice and took to our playing for some reason, then dedicated one of their pieces in their concert that evening to us. Which was embarrasing of course, but [...]
